Just as a memorial usually lists the names of the deceased, carved in stone, the text of Outer Circles is the alphabetical names of the dead, spoken and sung by Jordanova. Behind its hazy and muted surfaces, there is a clear mysticism, itself a reflection of the spirituality at the heart of all of Jordanva’s music. It’s good to consider Outer Circles on its own terms and the listener is encouraged to play the disc before reading further into the origin of the piece."
